Washing Day, Varanasi.

One of the most popular things for tourists to do in Varanasi is take a row boat along the Ganges to watch the daily rituals of the Ghats. Those rituals include Puga (Worship), washing, cremation and sometimes just swimming to cool off. All of these things are amazing to observe. This image depicts one of the many commercial operations at the Raj Ghat hanging the washing. I always think this man looks like a dancer in the way he holds the sari.
