Kali Gandaki Gorge, Annapurna Range. Nepal.

The upper altitude desert in the Kali Gandaki gorge is what I would expect parts of the moon to look like. Its cold, windy and barren. This doesn't sound so inviting but I found it to be an extraordinary landscape to walk through. Through the actions of glaciers, the surrounding mountains now show the tectonic folding which created them millions of years ago.
