FRASER ISLAND panoramics

Stonetool Twilight-35mm

Twilight over Stonetool Sandblow.
Fraser Island.

There are 36 sandblows moving across the island. They are really just sand dunes that are void of vegetation. With no plants to hold the sand, they are prone to moving across the island at between 50 cm to 2 metres per year. It is an interesting thing to note that all sand dunes have roughly the same angle. This lies somewhere between 32 and 35 degrees. It is known as the angle of repose. From the large leading dunes to the small ripples in the photograph.

One must always choose the path with heart inorder to be at one's best, perhaps so one can always laugh.
